Raffle Rules

The raffle will be held on Sunday October 11, 2009. This raffle is for a 2009 BMW 128i as described in the car specs page –or- the cash prize of $25,000 US currency.
This raffle is void where prohibited by law. It is open to all persons of legal driving age. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit St. Joseph Church Bread of Life Community in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Prize: This raffle has a single prize of 2009 BMW 128i –or- a cash prize of twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) US currency. A gas card valued at five hundred dollars ($500) US will be awarded to the winner of the vehicle if they are present at the time of the drawing.
Odds of Winning: Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Odds increase by purchasing additional tickets
How To Be Eligible: You are eligible to win this raffle by buying a ticket either on line, buying a ticket at a scheduled event or directly from the church. You must be of legal driving age at the time of the drawing. You must have a working knowledge of the spoken and written English language. Persons may enter as often as they like by buying additional tickets and need not be present to win the vehicle. The Gas Card will be awarded to the vehicle winner only if present at the time of the drawing.
Drawing: The winner of the raffle will be selected by a random drawing at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday October 11, 2009 at the OKTOBERFEST event held at Saint Joseph Church Bread of Life Community. The winner will be notified via phone, US mail, or e-mail within 30 days, the prize will be forfeited and a second drawing held the earliest convenient date. Details will be posted on this web site. The winner must elect either the vehicle or cash prize within 3 days of notification.

ELECTION OF CASH ALTERNATIVE MUST BE MADE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF NOTIFICATION.
WINNER MUST CLAIM THEIR PRIZE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF BEING NOTIFIED, OR A NEW WINNER WILL BE DRAWN.
Additional Conditions: Winner's name and information will be retained by the parish for future announcements of other events. A photo of the winner is required for posting on the web site. By accepting the prize, the winner accepts all the requirements conditions and rules of this event and agrees to comply with all applicable international, federal state and local laws. The prize may not be assigned or transferred. Winner will forfeit their prize as well as any claim of any nature against the parish if the parish is unable to locate them via US mail, telephone, or e-mail (provided at the time of ticket purchase) by NOVEMBER 11, 2009.
Taxes: Winner is not subject to Pennsylvania sales tax but is required to pay any other applicable taxes and fees. Taxes and fees include but are not limited to registration, license, and inspection if applicable. Other taxes may apply if the cash prize is selected and are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Shipping and Transportation: The vehicle will be kept at the parish located at 147 West 24th St. Erie Pa. 16502 and the winner will be responsible for all fees and costs associated with shipping and transportation.
